Champions Square at the Louisiana Superdome

Amid the buzz surrounding the Saints’ 2010 Super Bowl victory, Solomon Group was selected as the media technology designer for New Orleans’s newest live entertainment venue, adjacent to the Louisiana Superdome. Working closely with the project owner, architect, designer and electrical engineers, we designed and delivered comprehensive technology systems and graphic coverings for the outdoor square in only 90 days from contract to completion. 

Audio, video, lighting and creative LED systems—including over 400 LED lighting fixtures and a 32’-wide video screen—are operated from a central, streamlined show control system that’s rugged and flexible, a critical requirement for any outdoor venue in South Louisiana. After a successful opening in time for the 2010/11 NFL kickoff, Solomon was also retained to operate the square during Superdome events. See what’s happening at Champions Square.
