New Orleans Center for Creative Arts - Louisiana's Arts Conservatory - New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA)
This high school for pre-professional artists in New Orleans is nothing short of world-class. From dance to creative writing to culinary arts -- and of course Entertainment Production & Design -- if you've got the ambition, commitment and talent, there's a place and a course of study for you here. And there's no cost to attend. This institution has set the national standard for arts education at the high school level for 50 years and continues to change and enrich lives every day. (Oh, and I'm an alum, past chairman of The NOCCA Foundation, and current board chair of the school.)
Describe your career journey in a few words.
I modeled for Saks Fifth Avenue as a child, and they didn't ask me back after my 4-year-old season. I was crushed. So I found my way backstage, first as a lighting designer and later theatre producer. I do miss the magic of the theatre, but it wasn't the path for me. I was #madeforthis.

- The evolution of Final Four Fan Fest. When I worked on the rebrand of Bracket Town in 2010, I never dreamed I'd still be working on Final Four Fan Fest 15 years later. Nothing better than seeing the joy it brings to so many fans!

- Take responsibility if you've made a mistake and don't be afraid to ask for help.

Agenda for Children
For 40 years, Agenda for Children has advocated on behalf of children and families in Louisiana, raising awareness and enacting policy surrounding issues impacting child development and providing resources to families that help children and parents thrive.
- What’s your favorite project of all time and what was your role?
- Having recently seen examples of SG's work at the Superdome and the energy efficient considerations for the outdoor lighting used there, as well as the D-Day museum additions, I knew SG's creativity and broad portfolio would be a perfect match for my next career choice.
- What was the FIRST concert you've ever been to and what was the BEST concert you've ever been to?
- I've been to well over 100 concerts as a fan/musician/photographer, so it's difficult to choose. My favorite band to see live is Propagandhi.

- I love Men's Final Four Tip-Off Tailgate because every year it's different, a new challenge, a new environment. Same event, but completely different each year!

- Family style dining, it's the only way because you get to try everything!

- When did you first realize you were Made for This role at Solomon Group?
- I think I realized it over the course of my career, as I saw how fortunate I was to build a career in design and the arts—working on some of the world's most ambitious and engaging entertainment projects alongside incredibly talented teams and people from around the globe. Looking back, I'm humbled and continually amazed by the opportunities I've had. It’s been a truly incredible journey, and that realization has only grown stronger with each experience.
- What's the best life or career advice you've ever received?
- "Even monkeys fall out of trees." When you're pushing boundaries and creating one-of-a-kind experiences, it's a reminder that everyone, no matter how skilled, experiences setbacks. Stay humble, learn from them, and keep moving forward. Often, you'll discover that something unexpected—and even better—comes from the experience.
- What’s your favorite project of all time and what was your role?
- While I’ve worked on a lot of projects that I’m proud of, the work I’ve found most rewarding has been creating immersive experiences that make complex subjects engaging and accessible. That’s a big part of what attracted me to Solomon’s educational, museum, and visitor experience work. I’m a bit of a science and history nerd, so I love the challenge of taking those subjects and turning them into experiences that spark curiosity and invite people to explore. I’m really looking forward to bringing my experience to those kinds of projects at Solomon.

- I was excited to know that I was going to be working with the organization that is involved with Essence Festival. This festival is a huge deal for the city as well as Black Community the world over.

- The Blood Center. I have been donating to the Blood Center for many years as often as I can. I have rare markers in my blood, so my donations go to patients with Sickle Cell.
