The Samsung Galaxy Experience at NBA All-Star

In 2014, Solomon Group teamed up with PMK|BNC and Event Eleven to create the Samsung GALAXY Experience, a pair of distinct activations for the mobile device giant and official sponsor of the NBA.

For the NBA All-Star Jam Session, Samsung wanted to create a unique fan environment at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. This arm of the Samsung GALAXY Experience was a 50x100-foot booth offering multiple stations where visitors could interact with the brand’s latest technology.

Samsung also hosted an exclusive event for owners at one of New Orleans’ hottest new restaurants, Borgne. In one day, Solomon Group transformed the entire space into the Samsung GALAXY Owner’s Lounge, where fans could play NBA 2K14, shoot pool and create custom phone covers. Solomon Group provided scenery that included reclaimed wood, as well as CNC-routed logos and signage, lighting, custom chalkboards, printing and installation to better reflect the restaurant’s design aesthetic, which celebrates southern Louisiana.
