Brad Pitt's Make It Right Gala

Founded by Brad Pitt in 2007, the Make It Right Foundation began by building green, affordable homes for displaced residents of New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward following Hurricane Katrina. In the following years, the nonprofit organization expanded its focus to build innovative homes, buildings and communities for people in need across the entire country.

After partnering with Solomon Group in 2012 on its inaugural gala, the Make It Right team chose our team once more to help set the stage for its second, star-studded fundraising event.

Acclaimed event designer David Stark dreamed up a striking design for the gala. Working in tight concert with his team, Solomon Group provided the A/V integration and live event production services necessary to bring his concept to life.

Our team’s main challenge was to adhere to a very particular design aesthetic while delivering a first-class production that would dazzle the gala’s celebrity and VIP attendees – all while maintaining it within a nonprofit’s budget.

By the end of the evening, Make It Right’s mid-seven-figure donorship set a record for a one-night, nonprofit fundraising event in New Orleans.
